2011: BIGGER & BETTER…………………….

When we started ROI Outdoors back in April of 2009 the biggest opportunity we saw within Michigan’s tournament scene was the lack of unification within the tournament community; some guys fished this circuit and some guys fished that circuit – each had their own reasons but in the end it all boiled down to fun (group of guys, competition, comrade, ect.) and money (payouts, prizes, stepping stone to higher level).  Some competitive anglers say they fish for fun and some say they fish for money – we say it should be fun to fish for money and so far in 2010 we have proved that you can do both at the same time.

Michigan boasts more freshwater than anywhere else in the world, more registered boats than any state in the country, the 4th highest tournament participation in the country, and the most diverse mix of smallmouth and largemouth fisheries in the world – with all those factors one would assume that there are a plethora of 100+ boat events in the state but none even really come close.  In 2011 one of our goals is to create an environment for the 100+ event series to become a reality.

Thanks & Tight Lines,

ROI Camp & Cruise Lakeshore Elite Series

July 25th, 2010 Lake Macatawa Event

The anglers that showed up to the Lakeshore’s least favorite fishery found out that it isn’t all that bad after all!  Dunton Park in Holland, MI one of nicest tournament venues in the state and Lake Mac isn’t all that bad either; the much feared turbid waters produced multiple 16+ sacks.  Thanks to all who braved the dreaded fishery and we look forward to getting back to another 60+ field again August 22nd on the Grand River!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
